Roseau hosted its first-ever Unified Special Olympics Track & Field event on Wednesday, May 20, at Rueben J. Halvorson Field, welcoming teams from Thief River Falls, Greenbush, Grygla, Badger, and Warroad. Fridley- Nigel Albert Milbridge, 43, of Fridley, passed away on April 28, 2026 of natural causes. Nigel was born on September 4, 1982 in Virginia. He grew up in Warroad. Warroad- Theowen was born on December 2, 1931, in Roseau, to Alfred and Rose Stoskopf. She was raised in Warroad and graduated from Warroad High School. Family was the center of Theowen's life and her greatest accomplishment. Roseau- "Willy" (age 65) was born to Robert and Bernice Jensen September 20, 1960 in Farmington. Willy farmed, installed and repaired swimming pools, professionally raced snowmobiles, fished, hunted, and built and refurbished several buildings. Eventually, his farming background came to him once again, through a purchase of property in Roseau. In early 2023 Willy faced his biggest competitor, lung cancer.
